BRECKEN BURLEY - DAILY BREAD

Brecken Burley, a 7-year-old rider from Elizabeth, Colorado, is training hard to be a top contender in the 50cc classes heading into the 2025 racing season. He recently graduated from his PW to a fleet of shiny new cobra machinery. In 2024, Burley made it to the Ranch in the shaft drive class, where he battled with the top racers in the country on amateur motocross' biggest stage. Brecken is all about that brotherly love on the race track, when asked about racing with his bro, he said: "We are hot and cold, sometimes we are best friends, other times we are fighting, But everyone knows that I pull the holeshot on him 9 out of 10 times". Burley will be sporting 110 Racing kits on track this season after inking a deal late in 2024 with their elite team. Brecken has been training hard in the short offseason to prepare for spring nationals that lay just on the horizon. Burley's all-in attitude and drive is sure to translate to continued progression and trips to the podium in 2025. The team caught up with Brecken to get the low down on the 1-5.

Who is Brecken Burley?

My name is Brecken Burley and I am 7 years old. I am super small but race with everything I got. I live in Elizabeth, Colorado and I am in 2nd Grade. I made it to Loretta's on my PW50 last year and rank 30th in the nation. I am also the Kansas State Champion for the PW50 Shaft Drive Class. I'm excited to move up to my Cobra Senior bike next season!

What classes will you ride in 2025 and what are your goals?

In 2025 I will run the Mini E 4-8 class on a Cobra E bike, the 50 Open and the 50 7-8 Senior Class on a Cobra FWE. I am hoping to make it to the top 5 in my state for those classes. My biggest goal is to make it to Lorettas 2025 on my Cobra E bike!

What is it like racing with your brother?

We are hot and cold. Sometimes we are best friends, other times we are fighting. But everyone knows that 9 times out of 10 I can pull a holeshot on him.

Do you play any other sports?

I love Soccer! My dad has been my soccer coach for the last 2 seasons and I love it.

What is your favorite part of motoplayground races?

My favorite part about Motoplayground races is the way they take care of us 50 riders. Motoplayground lives for their little bikes, the future of this sport. They go out of their way and above and beyond to make all 50s feel like pros out there.

What is your favorite track?

My favorite track is Sweney Cycle Park in Brush, Colorado. The conditions and track are always on point.

Average amount of trips to the ice cream cone?

It depends if you are wanting to know per trip or overall!!! Per trip averages about 3-6 times... overall, well I lost count because they are so good.

What is your favorite snack at the races?

KIT KAT BAR!

How did you pick your number?

It's my birthday! My birthday is January 5, so 15.

Who is your favorite rider?

Hunter Lawrence. I got to hang out with Hunter 1 on 1 at San Diego SX last year when I made it to the KTM Junior Challenge. He was super nice and I got to play foosball with him!
