ADAM CIANCIARULO | GRIT-226 | 450MX
Continuing to focus on generating a solid foundation for future results, Kawasaki's Adam Cianciarulo remained healthy and gathered a generous sum of points by the time all was said and done in Massachusetts. The Floridian was accustomed to the sand, and would prove that his skillset was elite following a fourth-place practicing effort...and as he sped from the line to begin the initial points paying contest of the afternoon. He would corral a position of eighth when crossing the green flag, and proceeded to work his way into a pace that embodied constancy and efficiency on this demanding circuit. Gulley's were beginning to form on the downside of rollers and braking bumps, with subtle washouts forming that took the front wheel's of many in the field...but "AC" would stay upright and continued to flourish after making his way around Chris Canning. Adam was solid within the seventh-place standing, following Jason Anderson as they began to close in on Ty Masterpool who was inside the top-five. The trio of Kawasaki's were prolific, and Adam was extremely fast in the two corners before the finish-line; where he leaned the Kawasaki sideways at a nearly forty-five degree angle while feathering the clutch for furthered RPM. Canning wasn't one to go away though, keeping Cianciarulo rather honest as they neared the three-quarter mark of the moto. Adam remained steady with his output, flowing behind the twenty-one as the two-lap board would arise...appearing as if he had seventh place clenched. And as all was finalized, that's exactly what Adam would obtain before heading into round number-two. His fifth place opening stance in the first moto was notable, but Garrett Marchbanks would quickly move around him as they neared the halfway point. He then held onto sixth for almost the entire portion of the laps that remained. However, within the last few laps, both Jose Butron and Chris Canning would work their way around; where he was forced to reside eighth when nearing the checkered flag. As he rounded the final two corners with feeling(s) of furthered aspirations, Cianciarulo would remain mindful of how far he'd come; taking an eighth place score with a feeling of accomplishment, gathering a notable sum of points, and heading into that of Millville with a solid eighth-place overall for action at "The Wick."
