ADAM CIANCIARULO | GRIT-214 | SX 450
Kawasaki's Adam Cianciarulo would remain engaged in the 450 SX championship, returning from a brief absence and instantaneously becoming a legitimate mainstay within the top-ten of the roster. Cianciarulo was as talented as anyone else in the field, steadily regaining his speed and sense of race-craft as the tour moved passed the halfway point with the finalé now in the foreground. However Adam would want to make the most of every race within the series, which was again the memo while stationed in Seattle. He would blister his way around the track, rallying through the final session en route to a spectacular second-place residency. This alone would put the field on notice prior to beginning his heat race, where he resided third following the conclusion of the third lap. Adam was on a similar trajectory to that of Aaron Plessinger and Christian Craig who were ahead, creating quite the flow aboard the Kawasaki as he flew through the brief whoop section. Sliding the rear wheel through the corner that just followed, his clutch release would power him into the double that was before the finish-line, scrubbing the chassis as hard as possible in order to minimize his time in the air while seeking to combat the KTM rider that was just bike lengths ahead. He remained steadfast while Barcia would hound him (via fourth place for the GasGas rider), refusing to fold to the pressure that was amounted by the number fifty-one machine. Therefore as the checkered flag was thrown, it would be Cianciarulo who claimed third prior to embarking on the main event. His start to the main event was electric, battling inside the top-four while nearly overtaking Eli Tomac prior to the conclusion of the first circuit. He remained on point within the fourth-place residency, but would begin to fade as laps progressed unfortunately. Though still prolific with his momentum on the Kawasaki, the number nine was just milliseconds slower than the leaders throughout various aspects of the raceway; managing to stay error free and remain calculated while logging the laps that he desired. Aaron Plessinger would be the last of the pack to move around him, solidifying him in eighth with little time remaining on the clock. And that's where the native Floridian would be finalized, running strong within the eighth-place standing as action ceased in Seattle; looking to build from this performance in the rounds on the horizon.
