GRIT 311 — SMX NEXT — 10th — Kane Bollasina

The conditions in Philadelphia were difficult to prepare for. Few, could truly predict the rainfall amount. especially after a dry day of afternoon qualifying sessions. However, the technicality of Kane Bollasina's riding style was destined to adapt - and after powering through the berms of the Pennsylvania canvas with a perfect combustion of acceleration and clutch usage, the athlete who sported the number fourteen machine was well on his way to a successful finish, in the upcoming SM Next Main Event. However, with heavy rain falling across the stadium throughout the night show, he and is mechanic would have to prepare for a significantly different quest. compared to what was recently embarked on in the hours beforehand. Nevertheless, as the thirty-second board would turn sideways for the finalé, Kane accelerated onto the start straightaway and would do his best to avoid the chaos of turn number one! Riders had crashed, and Bollasina was aware that a mistake at this point in the contest could lead to quite a disastrous foundation. Nevertheless, he would work his way forward with precision to the green flag, to take a twelfth-place standing. From there, Kane would pin-point lines from afar - even with rain drops attempting to infiltrate his goggle lens, and cloud his vision! By lap two, Kane would still remain the twelfth-place standing...but knew that were going to be opportunities to move forward in the approaching laps. By lap three (where he established his fastest circuit time of the contest), Kane had propelled his way into tenth advancing

ahead of Alvin Hillan and Will Canaguier III. With tenth-place now occupied, Bollasina would try with all of his might to avoid the deepest trenches - knowing that the grooves could halt his momentum in an instant. The checkered flag was then within reach, and Kane believed that a top-ten finish could be secured. This, would be quite the performance if he could secure this standing at an event of this magnitude. Throughout the final corners, he navigated the chassis with exceptional accuracy

— using each berm as a means to bank off-of, while adequately

distributing the proper amount of application to both front and rear brake mechanisms. The crowd would applaud the entirety of the roster as they began to cross the finish line jump, and as results were finalized, it was Bollasina's tremendous skillset and top-tier abilities on the chassis, which led to well-respected tenth-place feat being captured!
