In the past two weeks leading up to the Lake Whitney Spring Classic Dunlop has announced two riders per day of its 18 rider 2010 Team Dunlop National Team.  These 18 top amateur racers and future stars were carefully selected by Dunlop race staff based on race results, rider character, hometown region and OEM brand.

After a rain delay pushed practice from Monday back to Tuesday, the clouds finally gave in to some beautiful springtime Texas weather.  Mid 70 degree temperatures greeted the hoards of eager amateur motocross racers at Lake Whitney MX Park just outside of Whitney, Texas for the belated practice day of the 2010 Lake Whitney Spring Classic.  Thanks to escore Electronic Event Scoring, we’re able to give you the rundown on the fastest racers in each of the 27 qualifying sessions from today.  While some riders elected not to wear transponders, track conditions changed throughout the day and after all it was just practice…these kids should all nevertheless be championship contenders this week.

The 2010 amateur national motocross season is officially underway as this week marks the start of the 2010 Lake Whitney Spring Classic.  Held at the picturesque WB Ranch just outside of Whitney, Texas the Spring Classic is the traditional season opener for the amateur motocross community.  Riders were slated to hit the track for practice today, however the unpredictable springtime Texas weather has once again surfaced and pushed the schedule back one day.  While it’s too early to start comparing lap times and predicting winners, in the meantime here’s the latest from Lake Whitney MX Park….

The Action Sports Medicine Foundation and the Road 2 Recovery Foundation are proud to bring the ASMF Mobile Sports Medicine Unit to the first two rounds of the 2010 Amateur MX Nationals at Lake Whitney and Oak Hill for the second year in a row. This is the same unit that debuted at Loretta Lynn’s and Mini O’s in 2007.
