Make some noise for the #285 of Marshal Weltin, Hailing from Ubly, Michigan. Marshal has his eyes on the prize, and that is ending his last year as an amateur with a bang. Marshal has been putting in the work and feels confident he can bring home some championships this year. With the mindset of this northern dirt till'n sum gun anything is possible. We caught up with Marshal to see what he's got in mind for the rest of the year.
Marshal Weltin: I feel like I can write a book about training at Club Mx. There is always something going on, but I will take you through a day. 7 am we start out with a gym workout with our trainer Sarah. We then follow that up with breakfast. We start riding at 9:30 and end around 1. After riding we have a group cycle at 3 o'clock. Following the cycle is a stretch session, then dinner! After dinner is our chill time, (bike work/prepping for the next day). Also every Wednesday I compete in a mountain bike race series in charlotte.
MP: Talk about your last race and how it went.
Marshal Weltin: My last race was the thunder valley qualifier in TN. It was a bit of a struggle. I holeshotted my first 250 A moto, high sided and messed up my knee. After my crash I kind of put it in salvage mode and just tried to qualify to get through to the regional. I'm hoping to be back to normal in about a week. Just a sprain I believe.
