With breaking his leg three weeks before Loretta's last year, Crockett Myers plans to redeem himself this year. The #411 bike has been training at the MotoX Compound with Matt Walker working on everything that will help him gain speed on the track. Crockett's last race was at Echeconne MX where he cleaned up house, taking the win in every class as well as every holeshot. Crockett is looking to stay on his training and carry his momentum into regionals where he hopes to get his ticket to the Ranch. We caught up with Crockett to see what's been happening lately and what his plans are this year.
Crockett Myers: I train with Matt Walker at the motoxcompound. Matt likes to keep things fresh for us. We have a lot of different tracks to ride. We run motos, sprints, work starts. Some days we do turn track work (my favorite). Every now and then we get to go to a private track that is really nice. Matt pushes me in a positive way that keeps me improving and still having fun on the bike at the same time. I'm feeling very confident on the bike right now and looking forward to regionals.
MP: Talk about your last race and how it went.
Crockett Myers: My last race was at Echeconne. My starts were on point, I got every holeshot on all my motos. I went 1-1 on my 65, 85 (9-11), 85 (9 -13). See what happened was...I got the holeshot and then ended up 2nd. I made sure my 2nd motos in that class to get the hole shot and run a very solid 1st lap to set my self up to get the 2nd Moto win for the overall. The echeconne track was amazing. Matt turned it around backwards and put in a lot of fun jumps. It was a great weekend!
