Conner Mullennix, Rider of the #88 KTM backed by the Orange Brigade has been busting the whip training harder than ever, Conner says "I'm putting all I can and all I have into these next months of training" The #88 bike will not be an easy competitor on the track and won't go down without a fight. After winning a championship a the California Classic Conner is going into Mammoth with his head held high. We caught up with Mr. Mullennix to see what's his view on the rest of the season.
MP: Talk about your training regimen and what you do in order to be ready on raceday.
Conner Mullennix: Throughout my training I go to a boxing gym. Ikua Hughes and myself push each other while being pushed by "Coach Trav" our conditioning coach. I also road bike a bunch. With the help of buddy Antunez I put in long motos also adding different and unique drills to keep me on my feet.
MP: Talk about your last race and how it went
Conner Mullennix: My last race was Cal Classic and it went great I ended up with a championship and a second also. Most races went pretty good, but you can always improve. I got all seconds in first Motos behind Derek Drake, that kid was on fire, and I know I needed to improve going into the final motos. It was a bummer Derek Drake broke his arm before the final moto because I could not see if I really made my improvements I needed to. But hey it's racing.
