Riding for Team Dunlop Elite is the #329 of Matthew Leblanc backed by the KTM Orange Brigade. LeBlanc has been putting in work at the Nario Izzi compound, working on everything that is going to give him more speed on the track. Matthew is aiming to set his goals high by getting a title or two at the Dude Ranch this summer. We caught up with the frog chassin' cajun to see what's been lurking in swamps of Louisiana lately.
Matthew LeBlanc: I train with Nario Izzi in GA. A typical day, when I am at the Izzi Compound goes a little like this- Wake up at 7, eat breakfast, do school work until 9:30, & gear up. Nario blows the whistle to start training at 10 Tuesday-Friday. We break for lunch at 12 and train until 2-3. Then I do school work until about 4:30. On Tuesday and Thursday we go to spin class at 5, for an hour. On Wednesday we run and workout. By 6:30, we are back at the compound, eat dinner, maybe shoot some hoops or play Play Station for an hour, clean up and get ready for bed. I love training with Nario because I know what to expect on a daily basis and I know what he expects of me.
MP: Talk about your last race and how it went.
Matthew LeBlanc: My last race was an area qualifier for LL in TN at Thunder Valley. I raced three qualifying classes- 65 (10-11) limited, 65 (7-11), & 85 (9-11) limited. I also raced the 85 (9-13) for some additional seat time. I won all my motos. However, the 85 (9-13) proved to be a tough class with some really close finishes.
