The #31 Yamaha rider of Andy Kost is back in Florida getting back into the swing of things. Andy spent two months at home in Wisconsin after Mini O’s working with his dad to get some extra money while enjoying some time with his family. Andy says “I was hoping to get any sort of support but I haven’t heard anything as of yet”. Kost plans on going to the last Winter AM round at Gatorback depending how this week goes as he is working out the bugs and getting ready for Spring Nationals in the A class. Kost has been working hard and putting in the effort every time he hits the track so he’ll be ready for the season.
MP: You mentioned working with your dad back home, what does that consist of?
Andy: Well, my dad owns a trucking company that consists of a few different things. I pretty much did everything from washing trucks to changing tires so there's never really a down time when Im home haha.
Andy: Yeah of course! It was at Aztalan which is pretty much the track you can see off the highway and every local racer in Wisconsin has been there at some point! I know for a fact I didn't finish inside the top ten. I still have my participant trophy haha
MP: Now that you’re moving up to the A class what changes do you think are needed to prepare yourself for the tough competition?
Andy: The A class isn't much different than B class since they are both normally super stacked regardless so my plan is to just work on perfecting my riding and add in some more intensity as well as some longer motos.
