The #40 of Brandon Hartranft has been working his butt off...and his results are showing immensely. With capturing 5 championships from the three different Spring Nationals he raced in, it is safe to say Brandon is feeling comfortable on his Yamaha. Now that Spring Nationals are over we got a chance to catch up with Brandon to see what his next big plans are for this season.
MP: You've won quite a few championships over the past couple weeks.. how do you feel about your performance on the track?
Hartranft: I won 5 championships and I'm feeling really good. I Feel like I can win Loretta's, I have good people behind so I think I can do really good. I felt really good at the spring nationals but I feel like I can be better.
MP: Motocross is a pretty intense sport, What got you started into racing?
Hartranft: My dad got me into it, and I love it. It's like a passion to me, when you do good it just makes the feeling even better.
MP: Aside from racing what else do you do in your freetime?
Hartranft: I like to hangout with my friends. Go the beach. Go to the boardwalk. Mountain bike, golfing, go carting. And being with my family
MP: If you could describe yourself using one sentence what would it be?
Hartranft: I'm a hard worker and I been putting in the work and I think I deserve more support
MP: Which spring national was your favorite one and why?
Hartranft: Freestone because I won, plus I had a lot of fun and that track is wild and brings out whose good or not.
MP: Which part of the track was most challenging? What did you do to overcome it
Hartranft: I would say the rollers.I just lean back a pin it and everyone was saying I did them the best in my class I would trip sometimes or skim them
MP: What's your goals for this year and what races do you plan on racing ?
Hartranft: My goal is to get a factory ride and win Loretta's but I plan on racing Mini O's and Loretta's.
